Easter Saturday
And it started so well! Gpa had bought button mushrooms and bacon for breakfast with nice ciabata homemade loaf toast. Granny was detailed to take H in to Town on the bus to buy Fish for a Gpa Special Fish Pie, and other bits and pieces; as well as taking back to M&S a dressing gown I had bought but wanted to return.
Raced up to the bus stop wth H. and at 10.05 realised I had everything BUT the dressing gown! Not daring to toddle back to the house, I phoned Gpa who raced up the road faster than he had run for years with the bag! Guess what? Bus didn't come until 10.F'ing 30. Checked with the Bus Info Kiosk what time for return bus to La Moye ... "15 and 45 past the hour"
Anyway did the Fish shop and M&S and the supermarket, where Harry asked 50 times to my deaf ears "I want some water".
Back by 11.45 to the terminus and a Bus 7 is boarding - so we get on, only to horror when bus turns left up Market St. Ask a friendly couple who are sitting next to us, to look at their Bus Timetable and realise we've got on the WRONG bus. Round the Island we trundle, past Airport, The Impwerial at Pleinmont, the Cup and Saucer, Cobo Bay and end up at Grandes Roques with no other bus to take us home. I was upset with myself for getting it wrong .... and Gpa and Brian had to come to our rescue.
Anyway, we bought fresh crab on the way home for super sandwiches and in the late afternoon had a jacuzzi, before Sharm came around for the fabulous Fishy Pie.
Bedtime after a Skype chat and that is that!! Airport tomorrow.

Thursday runs into Friday
Thursday fell to inertia on my part. Not on Gpas, as he had been worrying about his boat and the problem of de-masting it.
Gma and H spent a quiet morning playing with various toys and taking a good look at the birds around the pond.
When a relieved Gpa came back from a successful de-masting the weather brightened up and we went round to see Sharm's chickens. Not only did we collect fresh eggs but beetroot greens, fresh coriander and nearly a bucketfull of physallis (dropping off her bush in perfect ripeness) H thought they were lovely, too!
Friday proved a bit more exciting with a trip to The Imperial for lunch - what else but Moules frites - and then Gpa took H to see Vicki for the afternoon. Finished the day with a jacuzzi and those freshly laid eggs and some home-made soda bread. Pees and poos have been exemplary!

Wees, poos and ice lollies!
Happy to hear you are all having a great time with snow, exercise, adrenalin rushes and delish food!
In our way we are having a fun time with H! He can be such a delight, and gives us all great pleasure at times, indeed MOST of the time. Today it was my turn to take him out for a couple of hours so I went to Waitrose for food shopping and he sat in the trolley. As always desperate to 'help' he wanted to copy me by putting a plastic bag on his hand 'like a glove' and put everything in the trolley! ( I had picked up some potatoes with a plastic bag!)
Lunch at home was salad and Victor Hugo mini quiches.
All afternoon we took advantage of the lovely blue sky weather and went to Pembroke sandy beach with a child's metal detector and a pocket full of 2p. coins! Gpa secreted some coins and H dug at the sand SO vigorously we must ahve lost loads! I hadn't taken my camera with me but Dad had his and may have some pics to show. Then we spent an hour building a 'sand house' with garage and moat. He loved it all!
Ice creams for the adults and H wanted a coloured ice lolly. He sucked with such vigour and we were in hoots with various connotations which i leave to your imagination.
Back for a jacuzzi, and H much braver in the water - another thing he loves! Dinner of Spag Pasta and bed for a very tired and happy boy.
As to the wees - been very good in the daytime and at night he wears a pull-up nappy and I get him up for a wee at 11 or so, and he remains dry to the morning. Bit regressive, but much easier on the washing!
Tomorrow we are playing in the morning as Dad has to go to the boat for a de-masting trauma.
So pleased you are all OK and enjoying the skiing
We send so much love to you all
Mum, Dad, Brian and a small golden-haired boy! xxx

Birthday!
Up at 7.20 and this night ' no wees'! Hooray!
Day dawned bright and blue sky, with just the lightest cloud. Our breakfast was home-made ciabatta loaf and stuff.
Gpa took H off to see his boat and check if work had been done on it. Then to the play area for some energy discharge!
Meantime Gma did kitchen organisation and made some yummy Nettle soup for this evening.
Now sitting with a celebratory drop of red wine and a gin n tonic 'Happy Birthday Harry!
Going to have a Jacuzzi before tea and Gpa needs to relax all evening! Frazzled gpa.

Travelling to Guernsey
Overnight a wee accident - despite 'lifting' out earlier. Bed OK but duvet affected, so midnight washing episode and early morning washing of sheets and covers! Still early days, as most of the time he asks.
Packed and left Hampton at exactly 10.00 - Harry fell asleep for most of the journey. Excited to see the boat and luckily we had a perfectly flat crossing. (I even ate a small lunch on the way!)
Guernsey loomed out of the sunshine - and we drove those well-known roads to check on the state of the tide at Pembroke !
Gpa had got out some toys and the cot - ready for Harry. Not sure if it was excitement or new place, but Harry looked at me and said 'Granny, I'm all wet!'
Anyway, he's been happy all day - and if I can I'll put up a couple of pics.

Time with cousins
Just a quick update for Sunday .... H had a Shreddie breakfast, then helped Gpa washing his car as it had big blobs of birt poo from sitting under a large Redwood tree in the Cotswolds! H was washing the wheels, I think.
At 10.30 Gpa and H went over to see Vicki and Chris, Elise and Emily. Gpa got to meet the latest boyfriend, Tom.
They all had lunch at the local Sunday Carvery pub place, then H and Em played in the Park.
Gma did washing, ironing, weeding and cooking and didn't get overexcited all day.
Tea was a delicious made up Gnocchi with fridge left-overs smothered with bubbling golden cheese sauce. Followed by Crepes suzette and sliced fresh oranges.
H had a shower, had a story and fell asleep within minutes as he was very tired.
Tomorrow off at 10.00 for the ferry to Guernsey.
No pic today.
